A VISIT TO A MARMALADE FACTORY
Read the text written by 5th and 6th level studenst about their visit to the factory:
On 20th MArch, we wnet to "Maskilu", a marmalade factory. They make marmalade with a lot of local vegetables and fruits. The owners, Iñigo and Nadia,explained to us how to make kiwi marmalade.
These are the ingredients you need:
Kiwis
Sugar- 250 g. for each kg of kiwis
Lemon juice- half a lemon for each kg.
You also need these tools: a big pan, a weight, a blender, a big spoon, small jars.
METHOD
First boil the kiwis for about two minutes to peel them better. Then peel the kiwis and boil them again for about 30 mins. Next, blend the kiwis and add the sugar and the lemon juice. Boil the mix until it thickens. Stir it while boiling. Finally, pour the mix into small jars and leave them upside down until they cool..
We pprepared about 2,250 kg kiwis so we had to calculate the correct amount of sugar and lemon .

In June 2018 the
World´s 50 Best Restaurants Award is moving to Bilbao. In 2017 , it was
celebrated in Melbourne, in 2016 in New York and in London from 2003 to
2015. Why in Bilbao? Because it is the most gastronomical region. The
one with the most Michelin stars in the world and with lovely " pintxos"
to taste.
There are four Basque Restaurants in the list: Asador Etxebarri( nº 6), Mugaritz ( nº 9), Arzak ( nº 30) and Azurmendi(nº 38).
The program will include: The chefs feast, the Award Ceremony and some conferences by important chefs.

On 18th January we had a video- conference with the Finish school. We cooked together at the same time in both schools, the recipe: a sweet pizza.
