VIDEO CONFERENCE WITH THE CZECH SCHOOL

The youngest Primary students: 6 and 7 year olds, had a video conference with their mates in the Czech school.. This time it was our turn to teach them how to make a colourful bird out of cardboard and different coloured wool.. You can have access to our lesson plan here.

SPRING BIRD

Following the lesson plan of the Finish school , we created a very nice spring bird. You can have a look at it in the pictures below. Students enjoyed a lot making the craft and taught how to do it to their mates at break time.

OUR ELDERLY TEACHING US

We also received the visit of schools grandparents and great- grandparents who showed us how wool yarns were made . There are very few people nowadays that can make wool threads to knit in the traditional way and with traditional tools.

Students learnt the name of the tools and some other vocabulary that has almost disappear in our language because the activity itself is almost lost.

GEOMETRY THROUGH THREADS

Once again we followed the lesson plans of the Finish school to create some geaoetrical shapes with threads. Really interesting and a very plastic final work!! Thanks a lot!!
